On the occasion of Mode Suisse and the Zurich Film Festival, Flux Laboratory Zurich is happy to invite you to a private screening of The True Cost. The documentary investigates the impact of globalized production caused by the greedy nature of the “fast fashion market”. In the context of the collapse of the manufacturing site Rana Plaza in 2013, it explores the dreadful human rights violations linked to the fashion industry by portraying those directly affected and others trying to vigorously alter the current system from all across the world.
The event will serve as an opportunity to discuss together new inputs and ideas as well as to take a look at our programme of the upcoming season.

Anlässlich der Mode Suisse und dem Zürich Film Festival lädt Flux Laboraty Sie herzlich zu einer privaten Vorführung von The True Cost ein. Der Dokumentarfilm zeigt die Auswirkungen einer globalisierten Produktion herbeigeführt durch die gierigen Machenschaften im ‚Fast Fashion Market’. Im Kontext der in 2013 eingestürzten bangladeschischen Fabrik Rana Plaza, erkundet der Film Menschenrechtsverstosse, die in direkter Verbindung mit der Modeindustrie stehen und macht uns bekannt mit der Umwelt sowie den Menschen, die hinter unserer Bekleidung stehen.
Weiter dient dieser Anlass sich über neue Ideen auszutauschen und einen Blick auf das Programm der kommenden Saison zu werfen.
