REI START
If the work of Marianna Lyra is so consciously focused on the "essence of the human figure", its "painterly representation" and its "three-dimensional independence", then what happens with all the human figures who inhabit the space as visitors, their interactions with the artefacts and the movement created for and with the exhibition narrative? Can we re‐stage the whole exhibition setting by allowing different narratives to unfold?
We made a list of parameters that both affect exhibition spectatorship and formulate a choreographic pattern in relation to the bodies in space and the exhibition setting: i)pace ii)order, iii)perspective, iv)spectators, v)embodiment, vi)soundscape.
ρει START is not a performance installation, nor a project, which fuses dance and visual arts in a non‐theatrical space. It is rather an experiment to interact with the innate unruliness of the spectators’walking.
