Peak & Dunes - Dubaï
Art and design will meet in November on Alserkal Avenue for a month of exhibitions, conferences, performances and workshops, shedding light on the main artistic district of Dubai and the United Arab Emirates.
On this occasion, SEPTIEME ETAGE (nomadic fashion platform) will be organizing "Peaks & Dunes", an exhibition held from November 6th to 17th. The exhibition is organised by Katharina Sand, who encourages, through fashion, idea exchanges as well as the culture of design.
Flux Laboratory and designers from different regions are happy to participate in this exhibition.
SEPTIEME ETAGE will present "Streetstyle" photographed by Swiss cultural explorer Yvan Rodic (aka The Facehunter), the book "Under the Abaya: The Saudi Saudi Style" of fashion icon Marriam Mossalli (aka @shoesandrama, and "BOF 500"), a VR fashion experience by Marine Giraud featuring the work of renowned Swiss designer Vanessa Schindler, a selection of publications from both regions, including WATAD magazine, performance movies provided by Flux Laboratory, illustrations, perfumes and tastings. A series of discussions with key experts in fashion and culture, such as sustainable development champion Sass Brown (founding dean, Dubai Institute of Design and Innovation) and the famous cultural entrepreneur and cartographer Sofiane Si Merabet (@theconfusedarab), who will also animate new exchanges.
