Marc Perrenoud in concert in Panama
Hailed as « remarkable » by Jazzman (France), « always masterful » and « an author of compositions with a capital C » by All About Jazz, « an outstanding talent » by Le Temps (Switzerland), Marc Perrenoud, 30 year old Swiss pianist and composer, is most certainly one of the finest musicians of his generation. Along with the other members in his trio - Cyril Regamey on drums, and Marco Muller on the double bass, he explores the standard jazz repertoire in an impressively new and truly original manner. The trio’s repertoire equally includes Marc’s own compositions. Their second album « Two Lost Churches » was released in March 2012. France’s Culture Jazz Magazine noted his music as « harmonically complex », « subtle », « mastering fine composing technique » and « it’s all there ». Along with outstanding fantasy in his melodies, he possesses a destructive force - a tangible lyric intensity, which makes Marc Perrenoud a master in all that defies convention.
